Governor Veniamin Kondratyev names Krasnodar Region's most popular holiday destinations

«Between 1 and 11 May, the Krasnodar Region will welcome more than 630,000 visitors, while a further 216,000 will come for day trips. Our seaside resorts and the foothills — Gelendzhik, Sochi, Apsheronsk, and Mostovsky District — have become the most popular destinations, offering picturesque landscapes, plateaus, waterfalls, relict groves, and dolmens. We are striving to make holidays in our region varied, developing areas such as gastronomic tourism, wine tourism, and rural tourism,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

Over the coming days, more than 3,400 accommodation facilities, offering over 280,000 beds, will be open at resorts across the region.

The estimated average hotel occupancy over the upcoming holidays is 78% in Sochi, 80% in Gelendzhik, 38% in Anapa, and 68.4% in Novorossiysk. The foothill areas of the Krasnodar Region are also traditionally popular during this period, with occupancy expected to reach 80% in Mostovsky District, 85% in Goryachy Klyuch, and 68% in the Labinsky District.
